Display:
With all the upgraded hardware in the latest ASUS TUF DASH F15 2022, the only thing that we find to be missing is a good display. The one which is shipped is a 15.6-inch, having a Full HD (1920 x 1080) 16:9 aspect ratio. It has an anti-glare display, with the sRGB being 62.5%, The best thing about this is the Good Refresh Rate @ 144Hz
While it is a fine display for indoor purposes, You will find it hard to read outside your house on in direct sunlight. While you will play the games all inside the house for which this is a perfectly fine display with its good 144Hz refresh rate.
But this display is not for anyone interested in designing and doing creative works. The brightness level is only 250nits. The colors are a little washed, with only 62% sRGB colors and slower response times.
Design and Build Quality:
The ASUS TUF DASH F15 2022 is a premium-looking design. It comes with a two-tone black-n-white aesthetic and a good sturdy build quality. The lid is an aluminum panel. Asus offers the series in two color options, a white one with a white keyboard and white lid, and a black one with a black keyboard and dark-gray lid.
We can easily adjust the display with a single hand and it only goes up to 140 degrees and is not all the way flat.
The ports are lined on the sides of the laptop with all the necessities you will need in a laptop. I don’t think you miss any.
Overall, the Dash F15 is a nice-looking and versatile design.
Keyboard and Touchpad:
The updated ASUS TUF DASH F15 2022 comes with a full-size keyboard. It also provides a nice selection of hotkeys for multimedia purposes.
But what was missing for the laptop is there is no RGB here, only white backlighting.
The keyboard is a chiclet layout. The keys are slightly narrow than the previous generation probably because of the Numpad that is included in this generation.
It has fair key travel that provides a good typing experience that should cater to most needs and preferences. The backlighting is uniform and bright enough to provide a good experience at night.
The touchpad is 25% larger than the previous generation, With dedicated left and right keys. Made out of smooth plastic, not glass. It is good and consistent during our usage.
CPU & RAM:
The latest ASUS TUF DASH F15 2022 comes with some impressive CPUs being the 12th Gen Intel Core i5-12450H. With a total of 8 Cores- 4 being the performance core and the other 4 performance. It has 12 threads that support the Intel thread detector. It can go up to a clock speed of 4.4GHz.
On the GPU front, it included an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 with a 4GB of DDR4 V-ram. with a 75W graphic power.
The SSD is a 512GB M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 SSD. But there is a slot available to upgrade the SSD space provided in the laptop.
The RAM of the laptop is 8GB DDR5-4800MHz, SO-DIMM x 2 slots, Which is also upgradeable up to 64GB.
Speakers:
The ASU TUF DASH F15 has dual bottom-firing speakers that are loud enough for all of our daily requirements.
It also has Dolby Atmos support.
Gaming Performance:
The main importance of a gaming laptop is to play games. so we tried a couple of games to see its performance.
We tested a couple of games and the Nvidia 3050 graphic card is able to handle most of the games without any problems. We wish the V-ram could have been more than 4GB.
We did not experience much lag in the games when we run even the most graphic-intensive games at a medium setting since at a high setting they sometimes start getting laggy.

Thermal Performance:
The laptop has good thermal performance, It does not get very hot during our test and all the games we played. The laptop surface does not get warm even after long hours of gaming.
It has dual fans with copper heat pipes with a lot of vents for better heat dissipation, and the fan noise is also within an acceptable level.
Battery:
There is a 76Wh battery inside the ASUS TUF DASH F15 model. It is a bit small for a 1 lakh gaming laptop but acceptable for being a thinner and lighter design laptop.
It is not a constant 144Hz as the system switches it back to 60Hz when on the battery to improve the efficiency. Which can be a bit of a bummer.
In our usage, the battery lasted for around 4-5 hours which is decent enough.
It also has fast-charging support charging where it takes 0 to 40 in 30 minutes.
Conclusion:
The ASUS TUF DASH F15 2022 is a nice laptop that brings a lot to the table for a 1 lakh price point laptop.
It is one of the most all-around gaming laptops with a premium feeling laptop with a thinner and lighter design.
It is a good multi-purpose computer with a good speaker, a nice full-size keyboard and a big touchpad. Nice selection of ports.
It brings a good gaming performance for its price and provides good thermals where we can play for a longer period of time.
One of the downsides is the Average display which could have been better and more ram.
